Auto Bracket Shop: VMCs with Robot Tending
An East China auto supplier ran four VMC-850 machines and two IR-20 cells, cutting bracket takt from 86 s to 62 s.

The plant feeds brackets to an OEM on two shifts. Six operators loaded machines; changeover was tribal knowledge. Parts weigh about 3.2 kg; the new takt target was under 65 s.
We split roughing, drilling and tapping across four VMC-850 machines. Two IR-20 cells share a magazine. One fence door was rotated to keep the aisle.
After two weeks of debug, takt held at 62 s and changeover fell from 40 minutes to about 18. Crates shipped from Guangzhou with the customer’s marks.
